Mary W. Hopkins, Ed.D.

Dr. Hopkins has a Bachelor's degree in psychology from New York University, a Master's degree in psychology from the Graduate Faculty of the New School for Social Research and a Doctorate (Ed.D.) in Counseling Psychology from the University of Sarasota.  She has taught psychology at the undergraduate level (i.e. Manhattanville College, Mercy College), has presented her research at academic conferences and has published her work in peer-reviewed journals. In addition to her academic work, she has experience working with individuals, couples, and groups  challenged by addiction, trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, bereavement, domestic violence, and mental illness. She also has experience conducting forensic substance abuse and mental health evaluations for state and federal authorities.  She is licensed as a professional counselor by the state of South Carolina (license number 5286).
